Chicago DJ's back Love Invasion!
The love invasion has commenced! Kandystand's latest dance track 'Love Invasion' has been backed by the US DJ community, with its entry into the Illinois based iDJ Top 500 Dance chart, straight in at #13 on its first week in the clubs.

Love Invasion was originally recorded by Chicago's Shawn Christopher back in 1988, and the remake from Kandystand in it's Euro hands up style and 5 other mixes, brings the track back home.
The track also entered the US based Euro Hi-Nrg charts at #33 this week.

Love Invasion European Radio Airplay Debut!
Pulsar 95.9FM (France) was officially the first station to play 'Love Invasion', the latest single from dance pop music act Kandystand.
The track was broadcast on the terrestrial service and the station's web stream on DJ Fabien Smart's 'Kiss & Dance' show on 31/01/09.
Tune in every Saturday between 1400 and 1800 CET as the track has been playlisted for regular rotation on the show.

It’s Time… 2009 and the first release of the year from Kandystand, The Hottest Pop, Dance & Electronic Hits!
On the 9th February, Kandystand release their new single ‘Love Invasion’, turning up the heat in time for Valentines Day!

The single is a dance remake of the rare release by Chicago’s own ‘Targa ft Shawn Christopher’, which was originally featured on the Westside Records compilation ‘Jackmaster 2’ back in 1988.
It’s one of DJ Alodis’ favorite all time house tracks, and after being re-inspired by the 20 years of house seminar featuring Kevin Saunderson at the Amsterdam Dance Event in October 2008, DJ Alodis revisited his original house collection. Love Invasion made a re-appearance on his decks, and a swift entrance into his studio for a remake.
Kandystand vocalist Katy ‘D’ said ‘As soon as I heard this track, I knew it was a classic and that we just had to get this record out, its full of passion, energy, and its brilliant that we could get it out in time for valentines – it’s time for a li’l loving everywhere’
The original co-writer of the song Gavin Christopher (brother of the original singer Shawn Christopher both of who worked with legends such as Chaka Khan, Curtis Mayfield, Herbie Hancock, Grandmaster Flash and many other greats) gave his blessing to the remake, and even himself had forgotten about the track until Kandystand contacted him about the release.
A remix competition was held in association with DMCWorld.com, and 3 remixes made it to the final release. The release features mixes by Hungarian producers DJ Molek & Adams-X, Lawrence DJ from Italy, and Olivier Guy, a French producer currently living in the UK.
DJ Alodis also put together a radio and extended ‘Big Wheels’ remix, bringing the total mixes on the release to six.
